As
we venture into 2011, there will be trials and tribulations.
Right now as I write this column, there is a blizzard going
on in Chicago, Illinois. We have had twenty (20) inches of
snow. Wow, and I love it since work is closed for the day.
Besides, this gives me the opportunity to focus on my books
in romance. I have an extra day to read.
Books are now in the form of an e-reader, where you can download
all your favorite books on a device, and read from that device.
It’s the e-book technology, which is taking over, and
I just joined the bang wagon of e-readers with mine, the
Nook, which was a Christmas present. The
Nook is sold from Barnes and Noble,
just like the Kindle,
another e-reader is sold by Amazon.com. There are e-readers
for Sony,
and Borders called the Kobo.
There are plenty devices that you can read your favorite books
on, of course.
I chose the e-reader due to the fact that I have so many
books, and not enough room to house them. The Nook
gives me the opportunity to load a lot of books on one device
and carry that device in my purse, without loading a lot of
books in my purse. I love it. I find reading on the e-reader
faster. I am able to participate in the enjoyment of reading
most of my books in a little amount of time.
Reading
is my passion, and The
Nook, a very noted functional motivational tool for non-readers
is a necessity in the e-book phrase. You can also surf the
net on the Nook,
play music, and shop without the use of a computer. All you
need is to do is to make sure that your Nook
is with Wi-fi, and they also have a color Nook
too. This is perfect for parents to read stories to their
children, and show the pictures in colors. There are some
e-readers where you can actually watch movies.
Now
there is no excuse for non-readers to get on the technology
craze and purchase an e-reader, and buy some great books to
read and enjoy. I find myself amazed at the books I am reading
right on a device that gives me the adaptability of educating
myself and others. I don’t have to leave my house, and
books are downloaded in one second. This stops the process
of waiting for the mail to deliver your books, when you are
anxious to read them ASAP.
So I dare you to join the crave of technology as it pollutes
our minds-----just look at the Iphone,
ipod,
and ipad.
We have jumped on their band wagons, so let’s pick up
a Nook
at Barnes and Nobles or a Kindle
at Amazon.com. And if you have an ipod, which I am sure you
do, from the apple store/iTunes, you can
purchase a Kindle,
Nook,
and Kobo
application, and believe it or not you can read from your
ipod
and ipad.
There is no excuse not to read a book of romance, or any
book. The technology is out there for you to take advantage
of. My books will be in e-book soon, so what is your hesitation?
To continue a book of romance, take advantage of the new crave
of high machinery. I want to fall in love, and live happily
ever after in romance. Don’t you?
