If you're searching for a book with power, greed, obsession and murder, then this is the novel for you. I have to admit that it's a page-turner, and I couldn't put the book down for a second. I was intrigued to know what was going to happen next.

I met Eric Jerome Dickey at a Border's Bookstore a long time ago. I didn't literally meet him, but he was there signing one of his books, and I was sitting at the table reading, and waiting for my co-worker. I didn't realize who he was until later, and I kicked myself all over the place. I could have gotten an autograph or something. I love Mr. Dickey's books, and this is one of my favorites too.

We enter the world of actress, Regina Baptiste, and screenwriter, James Thicke. Mr. Thicke is upset when he finds a naughty tape of his wife, and her betrayal, and finds himself amidst the world getting a taste of his humiliation. Mr. Thicke takes matters into his own hands, and the novel gets juicy and suspenseful in detail.

Enter minor characters who want a piece of the fame and fortune that Regina has, and this is when murder takes a hold, and blackmail plays a very dangerous game. I finished this novel in two days and that's only because I had other things to get done. Mr. Dickey didn't disappoint me, and I'm not surprised, because he has never let me down, book wise.

If you're searching for the dramatics of Hollywood, then this is the novel for you. It will intrigue you, amaze you, upset you, educate you, inform you, and entice you with its magical love scenes, hot, hot and hot. I loved this novel and I can't wait to read another intriguing book from Mr. Dickey. But we also haven't heard the last of Regina and James, not by a long shot. Their saga will definitely continue, and I can't wait for the sequel.

Mr. Dickey reminds me of James Patterson, but his books detail a point of violence, but not to the extent of Mr. Patterson who takes his violence along another level, of course.

So pull up a chair, get a glass of wine, and settle into An Accidental Affair by Eric Jerome Dickey. This book is five stars and more.
