The sequel to "Die Buying" takes readers right back to the Fernglen Galleria where EJ Ferris works as a security guard. The Segway riding so-called mall cop is actually a medically retired MP who was in the Air Force and served in Iraq. EJ had to work and this was the only job where she could use her MP skills while nursing her injured leg.
Having already endured a murder at Fernglen Galleria, EJ (Emma-Joy) was glad to settle back into the routine of shoplifters, consumer melt-downs and other day-to-day events at the mall. However, her world is about to be shaken again, when she discovers a body outside the galleria. Who is the young man, and why was he killed? Before she can catch her breath, EJ learns that her boss, Captain Woskowicz has disappeared leading her to wonder what exactly is going on. As it turns out, Captain Woskowicz is also found murdered….leaving EJ more involved than ever in investigating the latest crime spree.

I loved the first book in this series (Die Buying) and had waited anxiously to see if "All Sales Fatal" would be as good, and it definitely is. The cast of characters, ranging from protagonist EJ Ferris, to her coworkers, friends, and her ever-eager-to-help Grandpa Atherton, are still evolving and readers are let into their worlds a bit more. I commend DiSilverio for letting us learn more about her cast with each book, allowing more clues to their nature while continuing to leave some relationships to be resolved in future books.

Many themed mysteries offer up recipes or knitting instructions and so forth at the back of the book. "All Sales Fatal" has nothing like that, but it sure left me with an itch to go shopping! Then again, a note on the cover says "Shop 'til you drop…dead", so maybe I should stick to reading!
