EJ Ferris is a Segway riding mall
security cop. No, she isn't a police officer wanna be. Although
technically that would be her dream job. EJ is a retired air
force cop who was injured in the line of duty, and the mall
job is the only one she can find.
Life at Fernglen Galleria is never without drama, but in this
book a Hollywood movie is being filmed at the mall. Naturally,
EJ's movie star father, Ethan, is the male lead. When one
of the crew, the prop master, Zoe, is viciously murdered,
EJ's training kicks in as she races to unearth the killer
and protect not just the shoppers and shopkeepers, but her
father as well.
This novel is
fast-paced and I found myself turning page after page long
after I'd vowed to turn the light off for the night. The action
takes place both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
I especially enjoyed that I had no idea who the killer was
until DiSilverio was ready to reveal it. To me, that is the
mark of an intelligent author who plots and plans well.
If you've
read and enjoyed the first two books in this series, you won't
be disappointed by "Malled to Death." Familiar characters
abound, including my favorite, EJ's Grandpa Atherton. Hop
on your Segway to get your copy of "Malled to Death,"
or order it conveniently online if the thought of a mall makes
you a little nervous.
