Several years ago I had the opportunity to meet Victoria Laurie when she gave a presentation at our local library. Having read several of her books I knew she was something special, and her event was really fun. Since that meeting, I've made certain to read her new books as soon as they come out to see what her interesting mind has come up with for her fans reading pleasure.

Lethal Outlook finds Abby Cooper, professional psychic and FBI and CIA freelancer, back home in Austin, where she is resuming her work with private clients and assisting her best friend, Candace, with her private eye business. A private eye and a psychic make a great team for those difficult investigations.

Abby's also preparing to marry her boyfriend, Dutch, and her sister Cat has arrived in Austin with a master plan that would make any professional wedding planner proud. Abby, however, is terrified at what her controlling sister will do next. Meanwhile, Abby has taken on a missing person's case that is very complicated and has far-reaching complications for Abby, herself.

As a long- time fan of Abby, I'm thrilled that she is back in Austin and no longer a peon trying to prove herself while encountering serious danger. Oh sure, she finds danger in her hometown too, but this book is more personal and back to the life of Abby that I know and love. Author Laurie evidently recognized that it was time to rewind things a little, while furthering Abby's course of true love with Dutch.

You won't want to miss this latest installment in the Psychic Eye mystery series, and if you are like me, you won't be able to wait for the next book-and Abby and Dutch's wedding!
