Abby
Cooper ticked off the wrong judge when she used her psychic
powers to reveal his innermost secrets in a packed courtroom.
She's instantly hauled off to the slammer, and thanks to overcrowding,
placed in a cell with a death row inmate. The inmate is awaiting
her final appeal, and Abby senses that the woman is innocent,
and condemned to die for a crime she didn't commit.
Abby
knows she has to save Skylar Miller and recruits her husband
Dutch and her best friend Candice to help her. As they delve
further into the murder of Skylar's nine year old son, the
danger lurking from the real killer ramps up. Will the truth
be revealed in time to save Skylar? If Abby's psychic ability
has anything to say about it, things will work out –
but will they work out for the best? It remains to be seen...
Victoria
Laurie worked as a professional psychic before she began work
as a full time author. She writes both The Psychic Eye series
and The Ghost Hunter series. I had the opportunity to meet
Ms. Laurie when she visited my local library several years
ago, and found her to be a most intriguing woman. I was already
a fan of this series at the time, and am always delighted
when there is a new book out. Sense of Deception
is another in a long string of winners. It's a captivating
read that I simply could not put down. If you enjoy a good
mystery with a touch of the paranormal, a happily married
couple of detectives, loveable pets, good friends, and a flair
for the human nature to seek justice, you'll love this book.
