Lyssa is the last of her shape-shifting kind. She hides in the abandon tunnels beneath Manhattan, seeking refuge from those who killed her family ten years ago. They are now out to destroy her as well. Just like Eddie, her weapon is also fire. She wants nothing to do with Eddie or anyone else. All she wants is to be left alone. But Eddie doesn't give up that easily, and the more she learns about him the more she is drawn to him by a passion that exceeds the flames between them. But when Eddie learns her secrets, will he be able to handle them as well as her?

Within the Flames is book number twelve of the Dirk & Steele series. Believe me, it's a hot one. Between the combustible attractions to the explosive passion, Liu weaves a story that keeps you on your toes. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
