3rd Degree
By James Patterson and Andrew Gross

Read by Carolyn McCormick

Detective Lindsay Boxer has her life in order. Along with her friends in the Women's Murder Club, Lindsay has a life as ordinary as it can be for a detective in San Francisco…that is until she happens to jog by a millionaire's house - right when it blows up. Now she has a blatant triple murder on her hands…not to mention a missing baby. Detective Boxer tells herself that things couldn't get worse, but when other wealthy corporate men get murdered, she realizes just how much danger everyone in San Francisco is in. And to make things worse, the murders are all connected to the same group: the August Spies. Now Boxer has to find out who these guys are and stop them before they go even further in their plan to destroy "corporate corruption" in the U.S. One would think that this is the worst that could happen to anyone, but when Lindsay finds out that one of her dear friends has a fatal secret, she realizes that the danger is growing to its breaking point. Can Lindsay help her friend AND find the August spies before it's too late?

This is an INCREDIBLE addition to the Detective Lindsay Boxer series by Patterson and Gross. I couldn't turn this 6 CD set off to save MY life! The suspense is never ending and the plot is literally to die for! Only Patterson and Gross could come up with such a chilling story of corporate corruption and deadly greed. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves a little twist of fate in their daily murder.
