There
is a saying: Let go and Let God. It's difficult to let go
when you are under attack, whether it's an illness, a large
debt, a lost loved one, or problems at your job. Meyer offers
readers a book with sage advice, scripture, and bible stories
to explain how easy it really is not only to give it to God
but to grow stronger, emotionally and spiritually.
This
book is set up in two parts: one is "The Battle Belongs
to the Lord" and "Transformed through Worship."
Joyce
starts by explaining fear - it's the first thing we feel along
with thoughts of 'what if.' Joyce reminds us to "pray
about everything and fear nothing." She believes it's
important to pray until we know we have emotional and mental
victory over the spirit of fear. She provides scriptures and
repeats the story of Jesus telling Peter and the others where
to cast their nets. No matter how we feel or the fear we experience,
we should obey God. Joyce tells us it's important to seek
a word from the Lord as well. She explains with the story
of Jehoshaphat and how he sought a word from God. Meyer also
uses Gideon and Elijah and their battles to help us better
understand God's Word and how to use it during our trial and
tribulations. What do these three figures on God's book have
in common during their battle? They listened for God. They
trusted him. They worshiped and thanked him all before asking
to be delivered.

offers a power message in The Battle Belongs to the Lord.
