In this title, Meyer reminds Christians a mistake isn’t the end of their walk, but a beginning. She breaks the book up into three parts: New Beginnings, What’s Stopping You? and Today is Your Day. Each section holds a treasure trove of spiritual encouragement.

Meyer takes stories out of the headlines and reminds us of the bible characters who received God’s anointing when they started over – Moses, Rahab, David, Ruth, etc… Meyer also shares the stories of ordinary people, like Pastor Eric who took Piano lessons so he could step in if their worship leader called in sick. A competition teaches him how to begin again. As always, Meyer provides scripture to back her teachings, and she shares stories from her personal life and her Ministry.

You Can Begin Again has to be the best in Meyer’s long list of self-help books. I listened to it in one day, and experienced a feeling of peace. At my age, I’m well aware “no one is perfect” and “we all make mistakes,” but there are moments when those statements just aren’t enough. Meyer gives us a book/audiobook full of reasons why we can and should begin again. As I listened, I thought, this book isn’t just for those who can’t forgive themselves. It’s also for those who hold the past against others.

I once heard Meyer say God uses her to preach because she loves to talk. Well she is also an anointed teacher and writer. Without a doubt, Meyer will leave a legacy behind that’ll continue to guide Christians in their walk.

Narrator Jodi Carlisle narrates the audio version of You Can Begin Again. Her voice is gentle when she reads scripture, and confident as she shares Meyer’s teachings. Carlisle also narrates Power Thoughts Devotional, The Confident Mom, and Meyer’s newest title, The Approval Fix.
